JLG Forklift Parts - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora embarked on on a cross country trip in their RV. Freshly retired, after spending several years working with his brother to assemble their crane business into an market leader, John had no idea that important trip would allow JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end result of a road trip.

Whilst on their trip, John spent time talking to former business acquaintances whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic event-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John uncovered a vast market for a product that could quickly and safely elevate people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building services.

After returning from their holiday, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and obtained a metal fabricating business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty staff, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates some of the basic design essentials of that original lift into current versions.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country trip and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the business has extended itself into many different global markets and continues to develop innovative machinery to guarantee that consumers are able to become safer and more efficient within their workplace.
